The collages I've been working on lately are a lot different from ones I've done in the past. For one thing, limiting the size from the beginning (the ones I've done lately are 4x6) has really changed how I look at things. I used to choose images and allow the collage to grow however large it wanted to become. This feels more like the controlled growth of bonsai.
