A good man is hard to find.

I took most of the month of January off from painting and worked mainly on collage and did a lot of reading. Towards the end with several blizzards, I began to get restless and broke out the paints again with all sorts of inspiration from what I'd been reading. This piece inspired by the writing of Flannery O'Connor, whose short stories I've been re-reading the past few months.

Hi Vivienne! Phew, glad to see you posting again. I was getting worried! Glad you enjoyed your month off from painting, but so glad you're back! Lovely, interesting piece, as usual! Stay warm!! Susie

Thank you Susie for being such a faithful reader and commenter! Will try to post something at least once a week even if it isn't a new painting.
