The end of summer

A personal favorite from my collection of vintage photos.  Can you believe that summer is over?  I have to admit, I am ready for fall.  I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend!  Mine including way too much labor, i.e. repainting the bedroom, glad it is done.

Hi Vivienne, Our summer days seem to be lingering here for a while longer. 23*C today and even warmer forecasted for most of next week!

I couldn't believe it when I saw your vintage photo. I have one very similar to yours! I also collect wedding photos from the 20', 30s, 40's and 50's. It's always surprising to find an unwanted wedding photo so they come home with me.

Awesome photo! What colour did you paint your bedroom?I always agonize about colour choices on the walls- especially the bedroom-xx

Thank you both for commenting! Carole, I recently came home with a wedding photo as well, this one from the late 1960s, the guys at the recycling center had saved it for me :)

Anna Maria - I had painted our bedroom a dark blue/grey like our bedroom in our last house, a Victorian. For some reason I hated it in our new place, a mid century modern and repainted an eggshell white -- a lot of work but well worth the effort. We are much happier with it now.
