Vincent and Betty, a night in Reno, 1955.

9.75"x10.75"  I was really in the mood to work in some spring colors today and try out some metallic ink but it doesn't show up very well.

How much do I love your work? Let me count the ways.
Really, really great-I am totally inspired to be a better artist.

SO HAPPY I found your blog! (Thanks Lisa V.!) I love your art! Beyond that you have done something amazing! You/your art has helped to free me of (or at least restrain) my inner critic. You know how you hear or see something a million times then the million and first time it resonates? That's what your art did for me. I can create whatever I want! I don't have to be stuck in the "what's current/expected" box. Yea for you! Yea for me! Yea for all us artsy types! Thank you!

Love the metallic, it does show in a subtle way... And the couple look so serene sitting there, what are they waiting for, (a cocktail or the right dance music?) I wonder. Plus love her pink frock...

I always love all your work, as you know. This one is so very sweet! I just finished reading your post on Betty Jayne. How very interesting. I am sure she would be so happy to know that you are taking such wonderful care of her past. I was hooked on 1920's youtubes for a good part of the day so this was a perfect ending. Thanks for sharing. Jennifer
