The Uninvited Guest

I had so much fun painting in oils this weekend, it was easy to stay focused as it was only 1 degree outside yesterday.

Here is another detail shot.

oil on canvas measuring 24"x30"

Vivienne, this painting is spectacular! Bravo! And it's one degree outside? We're in the teens and I'm whining! Keep warm and keep painting!

Thank you Holly! I think it is moving up to the teens today, and luckily the birds are back this morning :) I have two white breasted nuthatches talking to each other outside my window :)

Wonderful!! And I love the palette you used and the detail shot of that frowning man. His face says so much. :)

What a wonderful painting, love the confident strong strokes and the expressions on all the guests faces are priceless. Fantastic!

Love all of the expressions! Really tells a story. One might even be a bit jealous of how fine the guest is dressed. Ha ha You are so lucky to have travel trailer memories! I only had a tent. I told my husband that I am not sleeping in anything anymore that can be opened with a knife. I added Catfish to my queue. :)

Wonderful work!! I think our minds must be in sync as I have been working on a Garden party scene for an up coming exhibition in a similar but different vein. Will send you something once its scanned. :)
