A cold day at the cemetery.

Matte and I got out yesterday and practiced with our new cameras at the cemetery, we would have stayed longer but my fingers got cold and my battery ran out of juice.

churchyards are so beautiful and peaceful, no?

They are, we did see a lot of bunny tracks, an occasional squirrel and a pileated woodpecker hard at work.

Oh, I loved to walk through graveyards. When I lived in the city I was surrounded by them with big extravagant tombstones. So interesting to read the names and time of death and then to picture what era clothing they might have one. That sounded a bit crazy, but true. I have one picture that I took of a weeping angel and a gray stray cat together. Lovely place for practicing your camera and I love your latest portrait painting!

So beautiful. I'm so jealous of your very old cemeteries there.

Quite a lovely shot. All the grays. Captures coldness and death nicely.
