Her life seemed composed entirely of expectation.

12x12 oil on canvas.  Inspired by the book Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson.  It is only early November and I've been wallowing in dark and often surreal literature.  I must pace myself and mix in some lighthearted comedy or I'll never make it through the winter.

Love her- (I know her!)

Definitely read light and fun!I am addicted to decorating books these days-combined with some murder mysteries- sounds like *CLUE*(do you know the game? She *did it* in the *brand new kitchen* with the chef Ramsay's knife..!)How's the new place?

Thank you Anna Maria! I just finished The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender, another sad and surreal read. I'm thinking of getting Amy Sedaris' new book, I have her first one and it is definitely laugh out loud all the way :)
