Ladies who lunch at Lindemann's were not just anyone - it was very exclusive.

I had just read about Tavern on the Green changing ownership when I started this piece. I got to eat there once in January of 1988 when I went to NYC. I ate in the "greenhouse" and it was so beautiful. It was all lit up with tiny white lights and snowing outside. I can still remember what I ate, a lobster pasta dish with a glass of white wine. I'm so sad to see old established places like Tavern on the Green close their doors or change.
