I watched a documentary on Antonio Gaudi twice this week and it has put me into a sort of surreal mindset for painting and everything else. His architecture and design is like a dream to me. One painting is called Three Smart Girls after another movie I watched this week starring Deanna Durbin and the other is called "She came and wore a streaming flaming dress as red as her merciless pride" after an excerpt from duizend en één nacht (a thousand and one nights) by dutch poet jan hendrik leopold (1865-1925)
