Granville Hamilton Swyce of Baltimore, Maryland had suspected that a life with Solange would be more colorful than he had been bred for, but nothing could have prepared him for this.

The hardest part of this piece was choosing which title to use (I came up with at least four good ones while I was working on it). I met a peacock on my vacation and when he fanned his tail feathers at me and vibrated them, I thought he was trying to scare me away from him. Turns out that this is what they do when they are trying to attract a mate. Poor thing must have been in captivity a very long time if he thought I might be a potential mate :D He was quite enjoyable to paint so I'll have to come up with some other reasons to incorporate peacocks into my paintings.

I love that, "I met a peacock on my vacation" lol! That in itself could be the title of a painting! :D
