I Love Jean Arthur's Voice

Nothing makes me happier while I paint than watching/listening to old movies. I usually play ones I've seen before so I don't have to watch closely. This week I've enjoyed re-watching "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" and "You Can't Take it With You", both starring JImmy Stewart & Jean Arthur, two of my all time favorite Hollywood stars!

I love these two movies as well. I might just have to watch one later while I'm painting...

I love that I can finally instantly watch Netflix movies on my Mac :) I tried painting with more contemporary movies and it just doesn't work for me.

I would think the older, Hollywood-glam movies would be more suitable for your paintings. :) Plus, I prefer having movies going that I've seen many times before so I can just cut in and out and not miss anything.

There is a certain cadence to women's voices from that era. I always wanted a voice like Glinda The Good Witch.

I know who you mean, Billie Burke!! I love her voice too! I love the voice of the "aristocratic matriarch" type too.
